Capitalism is great as long as people maintain virtues like charity. If everyone would mind their own business and live a quiet and kind life, we’d all be better off.
Fortunately, I was raised by phenomenal exceptions who totally bucked the societal norms around them and lived lives of sacrifice for each other and for me.
The problem with this country is that we spent all our effort protect rights. Rights are wonderful, but without the virtues to know how to use them, we’re lost.
And I guess a second problem would be a lack of any sense of honor or duty in personal life.
Yet again, all you 80+ year olds have provided a younger man with a morning of cynical amusement. I thank you!
Maybe if your generation had actually raised your kids to value goodness and virtue instead of being selfish little monsters like yourselves, we wouldn’t be in this mess.
I got you one better: “How much fudd could a fuddrucker ruck if a fuddrucker could ruck fudd? A fuddrucker would ruck all the fudd he could ruck if a fuddrucker could ruck fudd!”
My youth pastor: “How much fudd could a fuddrucker ruck if a fuddrucker could ruck fudd? A fuddrucker would ruck all the fudd he could ruck if a fuddrucker could ruck fudd.”
