Polly Bellew has been in the strip before.

It was because of that show, I found out that Bob Elliot was Chris’ father.

  3. over 3 years ago on Gasoline Alley

I am 78 Years old. I read Gasoline Alley comic strips when I was a boy.

With the Bob and Ray radio comedy team, Bob Elliot played the recurring character of news reporter, Wally Ballou. Ray Goulding played the character of the location engineer. I thought Bob and Ray were funny. Bob was the father of comedian/actor Chris Elliott.

When the cartoonist posts this cartoon on Facebook tomorrow, I will tell him that he is the one confused.

I am a US Army Veteran and a boots-on-the-ground Vietnam Veteran. Veterans Day honors living persons like myself. Memorial Day honors my relatives who served in World War II and are now deceased. It is NOT redundant and no connection with “tautology.”

  7. over 3 years ago on Ginger Meggs

I am a 78 year old American. I have never heard of American Football being called “Gridiron.” The football playing field is the gridiron.

They don’t show a plate with Suspect # 2. In fact, they don’t even show him eating at a table.

  9. almost 4 years ago on Ginger Meggs

You couldn’t see faces or dialog earlier today.

  10. almost 4 years ago on Inspector Danger's Crime Quiz

    I didn’t know women’s coats had “lady”-side.
