Hello!! It’s been ages since I actually read Big Nate, I was such a huge fan when I was younger and every now and then I’d still reread all the 90s strips again, since that was my favorite decade of the strip. Sadly, around the time of the 2018 hiatus and reruns, I stopped reading the newer comics. However, I’ve spent the past week rereading the entire strip, from first to current, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised!

A lot of the recent strips have been really funny, with a lot of good premises. There’s stuff I never saw coming, like Mr. Rosa almost losing his job. I used to heavily prefer the 90s and early 2000s strips to the more recent ones, but I think I’ve had a change of heart! The modern strips are really inventive and hilarious. I’m very glad Dee Dee, Chad, and Nate’s grandparents have become regulars in the strip.

I haven’t commented on this site in years but I hope this comment still falls in line with policy. Just expressing my love for this strip. To anyone reading this: Don’t let anyone tell you that liking comic strips such as Big Nate is dumb and childish! I’m a senior in high school now and I love this strip even more than I did when I was 10.

Any of you looking for a relaxing thing to do over a weekend or break soon, try doing what I did and rereading the entire strip again from 1991 to today. It’s really cool to see how the art and humor of this comic has evolved, and I’d highly recommend it

Nate has a good point here. Just because someone’s famous doesn’t mean they’re an ideal idol. I won’t name certain celebreties so I don’t start drama, but I have examples in mind.

Honestly, I’d still eat the twinkie.
