Not really important but I think Esther is being raised by her sister

The second panel becomes really interesting after you read the third. On first reading, it seems like Esther’s sister’s (I don’t think her sister’s name has been given) thoughts are based on what she wants to hear in Esther’s tone of voice. This seems contradictory because of the large bold “NO” Esther says in the first panel, which seems to emphasize that she doesn’t want to go back to school. The “enhance” in the final panel shows the “O” as a modified smiley face emoji—which provides an interesting visual representation of what Esther’s sister hears. In other words, Jaimes’ enhancement of the “NO” in the third panel shows readers what Esther’s sister hears. Really well done.
