The Old Comics Home seems to turn up at last every two to three years in “Gasoline Alley” & love the fact that it’s no longer in the dreams of Walt or Skeezix, but a very real place, if you will, that’s within driving distance of their small town!
I’m glad the Old Comics’ Home isn’t empty or seemingly deserted like it was back when Walt & Skeezix arrived there back in early August. Upon seeing the Yellow Kid & everyone else cavorting about everywhere you look, well, that’s more like it!
It always makes me sad whenever we, the readers, have to take out leave of the Old Comics’ Home, particularly after our witnessing the 100th Anniversary of a venerable strip. Would love to move into that home, but being made of flesh & blood, not pen & ink, leaves me at a disadvantage. (RESIGNED SIGH!!)
Not only do I hope that Uncle Walt & Skeezix will FINALLY be getting something to eat, but their both becoming permanent residents at the Old Comics’ Home when the roast is over.
Rosie of “The Jetsons” is nowhere to be found.
