My mother was and my older sister is left-handed. Sis got a ration of carp from the penguins in school, who wanted her to use her right hand.
Hubs and son are both ambidextrous. Son’s pre-k 4 teacher tried to give us a hard time because (as she said), “It’s a right-handed world.”
To her credit, she shared with me that perhaps she was off-base. She was the kindergarten teacher the next year, and wound up with FIVE southpaws in her class. :)
Both husband and son can eat right or left. They can, if pressed, write legibly with either hand. Both shoot left, and husband snowboards “goofy foot.”
When my husband and son exhibit their two-sided dexterity, all I can think is, “Boy, I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous!”
