I like him more and more. Wally wanted another anthro to boss around he’s accidentally created somebody with far more sense that won’t take crap.

I guess what rubbed me wrong was Wally puncturing the suit like “Haha enjoy being a mutant, loser!” and then trying to act like he did what he did as some act of liberation. The Topsider saw through that garbage and slapped him around a good one. This dude has lived a huge chunk of his life being around double-speak fascists. He has no time for Wally’s wannabe Danarys Sesame Street tier authoritarian bull****.

Thankful?! It’s pretty obvious there was absolutely nothing altruistic about Wally’s actions. While it did end up saving the individual from getting cosmic horror’d Wally’s main motivation was ‘to make a topsider know how it feels (to suffer.) The action was performed out of cruelty and spite that just happened to save him. That “You First…” Was the fact the Topsider, having lived and worked alongside some brutal SOBs saw through that ’I’m saving you!’ BS and socked Wally around. I mean he’s not even THAT mad at becoming a mutant since everybody else is just sealed inside hefty bags slowly waiting to die. It’s Wally’s sheer hypocrisy trying to call himself a benevolent savior that righteously pissed him off.

Wally’s been nothing but a punchable a-hole this whole part of the arc.

When it all boils down to it there are a lot of gaps in Wally’s past. He just kind of there stumbling around like an idiot when Ally’s group finds him. He somehow survived. Alone. On his own on the surface that entire time. He conveniently does not remember mutating or even where he was or what he was doing for an extended amount of time.

I mean about his past in general and how he just kinda mentions stumbling away in a breakdown after realizing he shot up that teacher. He just kind of ‘woke up as a mutant’ but does not even remember. It’s conveniently foggy. What I’m getting at is Wally could very well be a former Topsider but he’s suppressed that memory. He was just out there in the wasteland clueless but somehow he was alive and had been for some time when Ally found him.

Yeah, Wally seems to have been not sharing something with the rest of the class.

EEeeeyup. It’s safe to say this place has fallen. It also put’s Wally’s actions into perspective. He needed somebody alive and sane for answers and this wasn’t done ‘just to be a dick’. I wonder if this is the start of some kind of endgame and ‘I’ will try and use the networks to spread to all Topsider facilities.

Damn, not even the suits could keep ‘it’ out forever. The nuke may have been the more merciful option. I guess if this really is the final assault on the Topsiders Wally and Co. will find themselves escaping the colony and facing something that would make toothbrushes seem pleasant in comparison. Insane Topsiders attacking anything that moves, breached suits leading to monsters… And… Knowing ‘I’ it is gonna breach containment at the lab and release the ‘other things’.

1-2-3-4… I think Duffy is about to exit left. Haunted by a ghost and then the realization he’s no different then the ‘thing’ that’s attacking them has been too much. I wonder if he’s about to short out and the grotesque creature will have a schism-rabid, furious lion to deal with?
