Having followed For Better or For Worse way back when the dog died, I can tell you that I would’ve been very happy to have seen today’s Foxtrot back then because the melodrama of the dog dying after saving the kid was shocking, especially since—just like the For Better or For Worse cartoonist—many of the comic’s fans forgot it was just a cartoon.
Because the Republicans wouldn’t dare to maintain their most obnoxious positions if they had to stand and defend them in public debate. Reid is wrong to consistently protect them from that necessity.
Haven’t we had enough already, of generic snipes at the U.S. Government? A disgusting but noticeable portion of the U.S. electorate actually believes government serves no useful purpose. Their evidence is little more than snipes like this.
Hey disgustedtaxpayer, it’s time for you to brush up on European politics. In reality Germany, France, and England are all presently headed by right-of-center governments. Of course, from what you said, I see that reality holds no value for you. You still live in a fantasy where liberals dominate journalism.
I don’t know Spanish, but I easily got the essence of the parents’ conversation. I assume they are using Spanish so the children won’t understand what they’re saying about Christmas presents.
As for the flurry of intolerant, ignorant comments from the right, may they just enjoy their hostile tea party until they fade into oblivion. Odd, isn’t it? how proud they are of their incompetence!
