    My husband and I do the same thing—notice, appreciate, then turn back to each other.

    Having separate bedrooms sometimes means you are closer as a couple. We sleep better in our own beds, and that makes us more lovey-dovey in the daytime.

    So many people snore, thrash about, etc.

    The goal of meditation is to see your thoughts dispassionately. They’re there, but you don’t need to act on them, or even pay them much mind.

    Focusiing on your breathing reminds you that you are a physical being. It encourages you to stay focused on the present, rather than the past or the future.

    Lynn Johnston’s husband had an affair with the woman he’d hired to manage Lynn’s merchandising business. They got divorced. He still practices dentistry. He didn’t stay with his affair partner.

    Lynn had to retire from cartooning because she had developed a medical condition that made it hard to draw every day. Her daughter helps her with her merchandising nowadays.

    I’m glad the comic strip ended on a happier note. I’m enjoying reading the reruns of the strip.

    (Yes, I spent way too much time researching this, a few years ago. Was bored one day.)
