With the first computer I bought I was delighted to realize I could record my own alert sounds. Since I tended to say, “OoohKaaay” when something went wrong I thought that it would be fun if the computer said it for me. I forgot that I would say, “OoohKaaay” before I would try something I wasn’t sure of. So it would go like this:Me (about to try something): OoohKaaayComputer (when that failed) OoohKaaayMe: OoohKaaay

    Did not work out well.

So one sunday the pastor just can’t see doing the sunday services. He gets them covered and heads to the next town over to play some golf.Saint Peter sees this and he is outraged. He goes to God and asks, “What are you going to do about this?”God reaches out his hand just as the pastor is teeing off and zap! A hole in one.St Peter is beside himself, “Your pastor is shirking his god given duties and you reward him?”God says, “Who is he going to tell?”

One year, living in the barrio, the don of the hill sent over some salsa. My wife described it as the hottest stuff she had ever tasted. When the don asked her how she liked it, she said, “It had some heat”. He said, “I can make it hotter.”

A friend and his girlfriend just couldn’t quit each other. They would breakup and then weeks later would be back together. The last go round they made plans to get together during their trips east. She drove him down to the airport and a week later drove his car down and left it for him to pickup in two weeks. The story I heard was that she did get all the trash and garbage cleared out of the house and loaded up for the transfer station. Just never got it dropped off…. Two weeks in the summer heat and they were over once he picked up his car.

I still carry some vivid images from that movie!also, The story of woman choking in the fish bone who excuses herself quietly not to make a fuss and chokes to death in the ladies room has stuck with me. Sometimes you need to make a fuss!

Clinton Foundation still going strong, still doing good work. https://www.clintonfoundation.orgCourts shut down the Trump Foundation because it was a scam in 2019.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_J._Trump_FoundationThe Trumps continue to scam. Their political organizations explicitly raise money for their personal use. If you read the fine print.

I was catering a private party and they had a nice kiva fireplace in the dining room with the fire all laid out. Shortly before diner I told my partner to light the fire and make sure the flue lever was pulled forward. (I swear I said pulled) He made sure it was pushed forward and the dining room filled with smoke. Dinner was delayed. The room was smoky and chilly.

I don’t see ll areHeavan/Hell as a dualistic proposition. There is an old Robin Williams movie called “What Dreams May Come” that suggests that Heavan/Hell are simply extremes of one reality. Some fantastic visuals- The main character’s vision of Heaven is his wife’s painting and so he wakes up in one….
