Logically, Adam is a nebulous age of about 35 to 42, given the age of his kids.I can assure you that almost no-one of that age (early Millenials / very late GenX) reads newspapers.
This implies that game boards and miniature figures are at the expense of imagination, which I can assure you they’re not :-)
Most times, the board and figures are used to find out where people are in combat, and how to make use of surrounding scenery.
