I begged the moderators to remove him a few years ago, and they never responded. I cancelled my Premium membership because of it.

I agree that Jason’s daily letter transposing and number topping has WAY overstayed its welcome. Let’s start flagging this one along with the others (above). Will GoComics eventually block these posts permanently? … or will Ripley’s end up another ★ or ★ ★ roadside attraction on the information highway??

Please note the 53 Like votes on Feb. 23, and the 31 on Feb. 25. This is not a personal crusade. This is an effort to deal with a problem that has disrupted the forum. 2 or 3 guys are acting something out here at the expense of most other readers.

Do you know these guys? Are you aware of some history that might be fueling those posts?

Maybe don’t open Replies next time you see this topic ;-\

You’re ignoring the fact that there were also very many people who find the posts disruptive, as we try to quickly scan the discussion about the comic. It’s been pointed out that people who read on phones have a harder time getting past the long posts. What’s wrong with this solution, which serves both groups of people? Is there really some sort of vengeance going on, where you guys WANT to be in other peoples faces?

On Feb. 27, joe piglet posted a suggestion I like: to move long posts into the Reply section under a short primary post that simply names the topic. This way, readers who are interested in the topic can open the Replies and read through, while readers who are not interested can just skip over it and not see the scrolling. This seems like a good solution for all—unless the disruption of the comic discussion is intentional (??). In the meantime, let’s continue to flag long, off-topic, primary posts. Some have been removed, but not permanently blocked as yet.

Do you want to try the approach Joe suggested?

And/or, is there some history behind this?
