No. But there are always people who’ll call others weak for getting help. Best to ignore them.

Because the disease could mutate in the unvaccinated and then everyone is at risk from a deadlier more contagious strain. Also not everyone can be vaccinated and those vulnerable people are endangered by folks that can get the shot but don’t.

Tips for cartoonists, if you’re thinking of comparing something to say the Holocaust or racial segregation, first give your head a hard shake. Then take a good look in the mirror. Then look up the historical event you’re comparing your subject to. One more hard shake of the head. Now is the thing in any way comparable? Or as in this case, not at all? If the answer is as in this cartoon, not at all, then put down your pen/mouse, go for a very long walk and think up any other idea.

Thanks for leaving, it’s appreciated. Here’s a study on the BLM protests https://www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/news-and-ideas/black-lives-matter-protesters-were-overwhelmingly-peaceful-our-research-finds

The President sent his followers to the Capitol for a treasonous attack based on his lie of a tampered with election and five people lost their lives. Many more were hurt. You can’t equate the President directing an attack to regain power to protesters in the streets. One are citizens fighting for their rights and safety and the other is an attempted insurrection. No equivalence. And it’s not a left/right issue. It’s a democracy/dictatorship one.

Doug, if you want a cartoon by Pia about that subject, here’s one. There is a comment section there are well where it would be more appropriate. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/01/07/cartoon-by-pia-guerra/

Imagine was fine, they were making a joke. Then you took it to denial of the attempted insurrection calling it a relatively peaceful protest and those kinds of lies I’d rather not have connected to our cartoon even in the comments. Please take it elsewhere. Thank you.

Hi, I don’t normally respond in the comments because it’s a place for your jokes and takes on the strips I do with Pia. This wasn’t a political cartoon, if you want to see Pia’s political cartoons google “Pia Guerra” and “Washington Post” or get her book https://www.amazon.ca/Me-People-Pia-Guerra/dp/1534310223 . Interpreting it that way is fine though. That said there’s no comparison between the protests around the country and the treasonous attack on the Capitol Jan 6th lead by the President. Get that nonsense out of here.
