My uncle tells of getting his first answering machine back in the 80’s. He had this idea he was missing phone calls because he wasn’t home. Who knew what social or business opportunities were lost!? The enormous let down came when his answering machine rarely had any messages.
It’s true that medical science does not know everything. It can be quite demoralizing. The great problem is that too many people fill those knowledge gaps with whatever hogwash most appeals to them.
I’d include “I’ll be sharing a video with my friends, but I know you also want to hear my daughter’s first tuba recital, so I’ll turn up the volume really high.”
Too narrow a cliff’s ledge to walk. Dredging up memories and feelings about school classrooms can too easily dredge up memories of final exams and late assignments. Not restful!
