Slate is pretty much gone; but the green painted chalk boards are still around while white boards are seen in new renovations. Electronic boards stuck their ugly heads out a few years ago. Only see them where the schools wanted to show that they could afford it.
You need something that’s compatible with teacher presentation as well as student work plus being able to transition quickly for the next session.
Much of life is knowing which factors have an actual influence on the outcome. Less than 1/10 of 1% have ever needed a value of π more precise than 3.14 or 22/7.
Sure; give them a two hour assignment that’s due in a week, and they will have a five day schedule of checkpoints laid out by bedtime. That gives them an extra day to set it aside … then do the presumed rewrite on the next day.
The missing factor here is that the bird spreads that out over the whole length of daylight … not one sitting.
