This clever child stubbornly puts a bright spin on his now-you-see-him, now-you-don’t dad. Since this isn’t the first time he’s done this, I guess that the man is too self-involved to become more present. Sometimes you imagine a whole life for a Bliss character.
That’s years of care-giving talking but — (gulp) is the kid now at the top of the list of ‘things’ to be taken care of? That said, I greatly respect Bliss’s willingness and ability to explore complex emotions.
