They look just like Tribbles and we don’t want a repeat of the trouble they made when Uhura started to feed them.

Y’all seem to think that past events aren’t relevant to the Ukrainian invasion. Those who do not know the past are doomed to repeat it: Hitler took Austria. No one stopped him. He then took Poland. No one stopped him. Six years and six million dead Jews, Roma, and political prisoners later – not counting military and civilian deaths – and threats to Britain and North America (yep, German subs actually came close enough to eastern North America to fire missiles), Hitler took over most of Europe and pretty much destroyed it.

Today, the Russian Despot quietly took the Crimea. No one stopped him. He’s now randomly bombing, shooting and burning various cities around Ukraine. So far, no one has stopped him. If he takes the Ukraine, he will likely move on to take Poland and maybe Finland. Another Nazi Despot trying to take over Europe.

For those of you who think that the President and his cabinet are making up the crisis, you should google pictures of Ukraine. Many legitimate journalists from Canada, the USA, and European countries have taken photos of dead bodies, destruction of civilian buildings, and mass graves. Several journalists have been killed. Some have “disappeared” after being “legally arrested” by the Russians. These men and women are risking their lives to prove to the rest of us that Putin’s war won’t be stopped if NATO and other countries don’t support the Ukraine with arms and yes, in some cases, with military who know that if they don’t fight, Putin will win.

Alex is Betty’s best friend. Betty is afraid to read the book because she thinks it will be bad and she doesn’t want to lie when Alex asks her how she liked the book. Her husband doesn’t talk to Alex so he can do the “proofing” and tell Betty if it is good or bad. Because Betty doesn’t want to have to resort to little white lies with Alex. You know about little white lies – your wife asks how she looks in a new dress and you say “I like it” even when you hate it. Now that’s passive-aggressive. And besides – this is just a comic. Not a commentary on middle-aged white men and their fear of strong women. How’s that for a rant?
