The bird needs to remember the old middle eastern adage: “Trust in God, but tie up your camel!”

@mlambo49 – look for menu items of “Sweet bread”. It is a euphanism for animal brains, still eaten in classy restaurants. In Guatemala, the meat market had a bucket of cow eyes for sale – apparently a favorite of the local indigineous population. In the West what we don’t eat goes into pet food – and given that if Amerian Pets were their own country it would have the 8 largest GDP (or something close to that) of all nations I guess that means not too much gets wasted.

Like some others, I had never seen Agnes until I stumbled accross this site a couple of years ago. And now I find that what I’m actually seeing are re-runs since Tony Cochran retired. Oh well, they are all new to me. But I did find out that he was first syndicated in 1999! (see https://www.creators.com/author/tony-cochran )

Fascinating: “In 1970, Bernard D. Sadow innovated a traditional suitcase on wheels attached to a long strap. In 1972, Sadow patented his invention as the Rolling Luggage. In 1987, Robert Plath updated Sadow’s design by placing the suitcase vertically, attaching two wheels and building a retractable handle.”https://travelpro.com/blogs/the-travelpro-blog/the-history-of-rolling-luggage Indeed, the year AFTER a human stepped on the moon.

““None of us could read music… None of us can write it.” John Lennon admitted this about the band in a 1980 Playboy interview, “but as pure musicians, as inspired humans to make the noise, they [Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr] are as good as anybody.”Oct 8, 2021

and @Sir Isacc: A far cry from the concept of Education we really need: "Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.” ~Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 260

“The day is approaching when all the peoples of the world will have adopted one universal language and one common script. When this is achieved, to whatsoever city a [person] may journey, it shall be as if [they] were entering [their] own home. These things are obligatory and absolutely essential. It is incumbent upon every [person] of insight and understanding to strive to translate that which hath been written into reality and action.” from the Bahá’í Writings.

I don’t think we’ll see it in our life time or maybe for a few generations. But it would make life easier!

I just hope it is not “Texting English!” :) BTW, LOL, IMHO…
