Ordered mine from B&N months ago. They’ll ship it for delivery on the 17th but thanks to my screwed up mail service it will be 4-5 days late, as usual.
Both Dierbergs and Schnucks carry Paczki and Helfer’s bakery in Florissant makes them as well. I even saw 4-packs of Paczki at Aldi last week in the freezer section where they have the special deals and Aldi will probably keep them available until they sell out.
We have several neighborhood bakeries and groceries with in-store bakeries that stock Paczki in the weeks leading up to Ash Wednesday. The rest of the year they sell the slightly smaller jelly donuts with the same fillings. I usually get a 4-pack of mixed flavors but this year I found a box of all Bavarian cream, which are my favorites so I’m in Paczki heaven right now.
Looks like Georgia might be a fan of all the HGTV remodeling shows where the designers love to find “unique” light fixtures in antique shops. It’s not nearly as bad as some of the lights I’ve seen on those shows.
Once was scary enough for me. My subdivision is built on a hill and I live fairly far down the hill in a single story house surrounded by two story houses. The tornado hit the house below me, bounced over me, hit the house above me and continued up the hill. Unfortunately. the hail that followed didn’t miss me. But I was one of the lucky ones, no blue tarp for months while the insurance companies argued over every penny’s worth of damage on some of the houses. I had an adjuster out two days later and a new roof before some of the neighbors even had their roofs looked at by the adjusters. I hope to never go through that again.
The boy and the girl do. They’ve probably got all their friends reading it too so there could be lots of secret messages in school for a while.
