My favorite color has always been blue. My mom would get angry when we went shopping for school clothes because I would always pick out blue things. I’m so glad someone invented blue jeans. My family knows to keep things casual because I’m showing up in blue jeans.

At my tallest, I was 5’2 1/2". Now, in my 70’s, I’m down to 4’ 11". When I find out who took my inches, there is going to be big trouble!

We never knew what to buy my grandmother, so we would give her gift certificates to stores she liked, and even offered to take her there. She didn’t want to use them because she didn’t want us to spend our money. We couldn’t get her to understand that the money was already spent for the certificate. At a restaurant, I left the tip on the table for the four of us. When we got to the car, she had picked up most of it, and handed it back to me. I had to rush back into the store, find the waitress, give it to her, and apologize. She laughed, and said she understood grandmothers.

My niece decided to be vegan when she was a teen. That lasted longer than we expected. Then she went back to eating meat. She was eating a rare cooked steak, and I said, “So you went from vegan to eating live cows?!”. We both laughed. I could never give up meat.

I don’t know about previous lives. I just try to learn from the mistakes I have made in this life, so I don’t keep doing the same stupid stuff over and over.

I cannot read when I am in a moving vehicle. I would be soooo sick!!! Even as a passenger, whether in a car, bus, or plane, I have to face forward, and look out the front window at the horizon, as if I am driving. I’ve always joked that my brain is so big and heavy that I always land on my head when I fall. It has really messed up my equilibrium.

Not always, sometimes you’re too stupid to realize just how dangerous it is. When you figure it out, it’s usually too late.

I can only quote my hero, Harpo Marx: “My only alcohol problem is that I don’t much care for the stuff.”.

I shared a bedroom with my older sister. My mom knew my favorite color was (and still is) blue, but she always asked my sister what color she wanted the bedroom painted, and my sister never said blue. It was always pink, green, or yellow. When I bought my first house, I painted the living room and my bedroom blue. I was tempted to paint every room blue, but decided that would be a little too weird.
