Agree, but I think that stores are just grateful to have folks to work that they don’t care about common courtesy or doing the job correctly. Or they just care about the bottom line. Sigh.
Where I live I would much rather use a self check out. Cashiers are rude, don’t bag for you or if they do, just shove stuff in any which way, and forget about getting a thank you. At the self check out I can take my time, bag things the way I want, and rarely treat myself rudely.
I am not a big cell phone user but will always have a book on me. It amazes me how folks will interrupt me from reading before interrupting someone scrolling on their phone.
Under the “Affordable Care Act” our health insurance went from about $250 to over $1000 per month with such a high deductible that it became an issue of being mandated to have insurance but not being able to afford to use it.
Wow! Not a bad thing, just never heard of it! I have been in supermarkets where there has been poop on the floor and I am pretty sure it wasn’t from an animal. Things sure have changed.
I agree, but then I think of all the infants/toddlers in them with their wet and possibly leaky diapers. Which is worse?! I now just chalk it up to making my immune system stronger.
We have 5, all grown now. Stores were too far away to make 5 separate trips. Since they wore uniforms (and was able to pass most of them down) we only needed shoes and sneakers. A reminder of the stop for ice cream after we were done usually prevented too many issues. The worst was when one store was out of the size needed and we had to find another place. Now that it is long over, I miss those days!
Woman here who agrees with you. Grew up with brothers and then had 3 sons of my own. To me, majority rules. I have been in the habit of checking seat since I was little. I have never understood why it was always the man’s responsibility for toilet etiquette. Now, wiping the rim off is a whole other issue!
As a woman whose dad taught her all that in the early 70’s, I applaud you! Any one who drives ought to be able to basic car care but too many discount females.
