I was in Manhattan that day, scheduled to visit a customer three blocks from the WTC at 10 AM.

I turned on the Today show to check the weather, and they broke in with reports of a fire at the WTC.

Former paramedic here. Basically, if the poison is ingested (as opposed to inhaled or injected), you want to get the patient to expel it unless it’s going to cause more damage on the way back out. The less time it has to be absorbed into the body, the better.

How effective this is will depend on the toxicity of the poison, as well as its absorption rate, but it’s still a good rule of thumb.

Why do you seem to think they’re mutually exclusive? They gotta come up with an endless list of names from somewhere, why not fanboy and kill two birds with one stone?

I had occasion to go back into a previous story, and found a fanboy reference that I suspect most folks here missed. For me, it added extra flavor; for others, it was just a weird name.
