Not even finished with the first activity and the joy of teaching is already under siege.

I remember back in the 1970s we’d be driving down Route 1 in Southern Rhode Island in a big old station wagon with a bunch of us kids in the back making weird, demented faces at the tourists in passing cars. It was always a celebration when some driver would return the “favor”.

At least growing up in the 60s and 70, it seemed to be for the challenge.

I had a similar reaction once when I forgot to prepare a quiz for a college course I was teaching. Not really a problem as the best skill I learned in college was how to punt on short notice.

I have a superpower. It is my hearing. No matter what room my wife is in, I can always her yell “What?”

If he catches Bigfoot, I suspect he might try to keep him.

For me it’s a Brandy and Benedictine while enjoying the Sunday “Wallace the Brave” at 1am on Sunday morning.

With Rhode Island’s meandering coastline there are many possible candidates. I have two likely possibilities.

    1) Will Henry’s family own(-s or -ed) a liquor shop in Jamestown, which is on an island in Narragansett Bay. They could be on the island or down at Beavertail State Park which has a rocky coastline. However the mainland is nearby to the west, yet does not appear in the comic.

    2) Given that the setting is Snug Harbor, I would place them at Point Judith near the light house. The coast there is rocky and faces south west. Around the winter solstice the sun would set in front of them. This time of year it would be to their left. However, I would expect them to bring takeout from Champlin’s Seafood Deck, yet I see no containers.

Looks like a snail. That would be escargot for a more sophisticated feral child.
