    Similar for the 60s kid. Though by my teens I was much more interested in reading a good historical fiction. I was a big Kenneth Roberts fan for those of you from New England.

    My wife worked in a middle school.. When we had to move, the box for frozen pizza slices made the best packing boxes. Heavy duty. Smaller than the boxes from a moving company or storage company.

    New England chowduh is okay. Rhode Island chowduh with clear broth is the best (at least for me). Which reminds me, now that Connecticut has gone home for the season, I can head down to Galilee for supper some evening.

    I remember back in the 1970s we’d be driving down Route 1 in Southern Rhode Island in a big old station wagon with a bunch of us kids in the back making weird, demented faces at the tourists in passing cars. It was always a celebration when some driver would return the “favor”.
