We take them into our homes and our hearts, no matter how long they live, it’s never long enough. We can at least be thankful that they touched us in a special way and made us better for it. I am so sorry for your loss.
Class of 68, we had a set of Funk and Wagnalls. Every year they sent the yearly update volume. Thought it was great that I had this at the house. Little did I know how that would change in the future. Now we have the world in our pockets.
I’m sorry. My Grandfather died 45 years ago, and there’s not a day that i don’t think about him. Your situation sounds like my late wife’s family. After we got married (they were not at the wedding), all they said was it wouldn’t last. Well, we got 47 years together and her brother and sister have been married and divorced 3 times each. You’ve got to live your own life and not worry about pleasing others. If your grandad was anything like mine, I’m positive he had nothing but good thoughts about you and most likely understood the situation you were in.
This song will always have special meaning for me. My first fiance gave me the 45 of this for Christmas the year it came out. Sadly, she passed away 3 months later at 22. 52 years later it still gets to me when I hear it.
They say 60s to me. Bell bottoms came out in the 60s and I hate to admit it at this age, but I had pants much like those in the mid 60s.
