After a devastating attack of alopecia areata last year, I lost all my (formerly dark brown) hair. My hair has grown back, but not as thickly and it is completely and blindingly white. I went from middle age to old lady virtually overnight. It’s been less than a year and I still haven’t gotten used to seeing a white-haired old lady looking at me from the mirror.
I had read something about that particular quote, but what I had read was definitely….uh, “prettied up”. I think I like the way Johnson said it better; graphic, but straight to the point.
I don’t think it really is a big deal…not quite sure why everybody is all excited about it. I remember several late Thanksgivings (and I worked in retail—and trust me, we retail workers know exactly and too well when Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas and the horrible two weeks following Christmas—fall.Surely there are more important topics for journalists and news readers to cover in these times?
Thanks for the chuckle, Da’Dad; you are not wrong about a father having one or more of things that a guy would actually want or need.
