So you’re just going to leave a high tech (for the 60s) superhero car in the hands of B. O. Plenty? Mind you, I’m coming back to Dick Tracy after a long, long absence from reading it, but isn’t it fitting to bring things back to normalcy by taking the Hatmobile away?
I don’t know what bums me out more, that one of Galen’s fans grew up to be a bank robber, or that he defaced a good comic book when a Post-it note would have sufficed.
Based on what Robin says before the Batmobile leaves the Batcave (“Atomic batteries to power. Turbines to speed.”), this particular Batmobile is an electric vehicle, recharged with power from the Batcave’s nuclear reactor. I know this doesn’t jibe with the turbojet whine it makes as it travels, but I think the jet engine is used sparingly, to get the vehicle up to speed.
