For such a simple story line, today’s comic is mesmerizing. Such pleasure on the children’s faces as they get to play their roles ! The waiter screaming WAFFLES right into the ear of the cook ! The girl flipping the waffle into parts unknown. Such JOY! It’s a pleasure to read, and always beautiful. Thanks Georgia !
I love the contrast between yesterday’s GIRL-type restaurant choices (beautiful items all arranged decoratively on the table) and today’s BOY-type restaurant choices on the super cool menu! (bugs, rocks, hot dogs, waffles and poison, oh my! ) I also love that he blurts out that everything costs hundreds of dollars. Such big dreams. Priceless !
So sorry to hear that your husband is facing this surgery, and on both hands at once! That must be super stressful and worrisome! Hopefully the surgeon has given you great confidence in his ability to perform both surgeries, and clear expectations on what to expect for the after care? I have had procedures done that I regretted, and upon reflection, I realized that I hadn’t really had confidence in the doctor, but they were really pushy about my having the procedure, I felt too foolish to back out. Now I would trust my instincts more. I checked online, and people can choose to have carpal tunnel surgery on one hand or two at the same time. It sounds like this is the right surgery for your husband, but make sure he’s also the right doctor, and don’t be afraid to ask for more information, to make sure you and your husband are comfortable with the choices made. Once you have done your validation, then yes, it’s time to sit back and say a prayer and think only good thoughts, and practice your yoga breaths. Thinking of you and sending hugs and courage <3
Thanks for sharing. I love your puns ! They are like high quality ‘dad’ jokes, and they do remind me of my dad, who loved those kinds of play on words.
