   Silly me – I just thought that since it was 8/14, that they (who?) would publish the comic for that date in 2001 – you know, give us a glimpse of the comics-verse on that date.

   OK, I’ve been reading this arc for several days now, and I’m wondering how this strip could have been copyrighted in 2001. In August, 9/11 hadn’t happened yet. Something’s screwy here…

   The seminal work is called “Cherokee” – don’t know why Rob didn’t use it here. I do like the jazz-like riffing going on between the characters.

   I don’t understand the rubber comment – any Native experts here?
