Even if that Dr. wasn’t smoking, he looks way too much like Geech for my comfort! Maybe they’re related? I discovered this strip maybe 1.5 year ago, seems like the theme is that pretty much everyone in town is incompetent or inept, but as there is a dearth of people and services, they’re all stuck with each other as-is.

Sorry, this was in reply to workjobb.

I think the bits at the bottom were made up, or at least altered from the originals, by Mr. Scott. A real ad like that would’ve had a zip code I’m sure. Nice graphic design work, love the vintage feel. Check out Liartown USA if you’re into that; old news ads, book and magazine covers and such altered in funny ways, but much of it’s not exactly PG-rated.

New Hampshire, one of the American States.

I’ve never seen an Uno game that didn’t end in a nasty fight.

I love the “run it by legal” one. Somehow seems to ring very true! And Leroy and the rest seem so unsurprised.

    Death metal I assume?

I think it was started by the world’s biggest butt-kisser.

I think there are a few left, though the profession is certainly dying. I used one around 2005 or so, I think they were “endangered” even then. I was actually pretty happy with her service, she got me discounts on hotel stays and whatnot.
