It’s not all about you though. Consider the 90,000 Americans who are in need of a kidney and will die unless people open their hearts and set aside their prejudices and fear.
That would be a kidney. People only need ONE to survive/live. For a donor, the kidney is the easiest organ to donate aside from blood. It’s easier than giving birth! >
Not true. Please don’t spread information that is not true. Many factors are involved in a transplant team deciding whether a person is eligible to receive a kidney.
Age does not necessarily have anything to do with organ transplantation. My husband is 74 and needs a kidney. His transplant team says he is still good to receive one.
Perhaps some people reading this story line will donate a kidney while they are alive and save another life. My husband has two failing kidneys. He only needs one to survive. Will YOU be our hero?
Ah, but maybe this story line will encourage people to save a life and donate a kidney. 90,000 people in the U.S,. need a kidney right now. Most will die because there aren’t enough heroes to donate an unneeded kidney. My husband has two failing kidneys but only needs one to live.
I would be happy if someone would donate a kidney to my husband so he can live. >
