   Exactly. In 2021 it hit 108 degrees in Seattle. There was nothing normal about that.

   Thank you for asking! I’m in north Seattle and early this morning the wind was howling, but thankfully I did not lose power this time! It was so noisy, the cats forgot that they were waiting for breakfast to be served!

   When I adopted two kittens in 2020 I found a list of cat names, but didn’t get far. Augustus (Gus) and Adelaide. Adelaide turned out to be a boy and became Atticus. Then I decided my next cat would be Jem if a boy and Scout if a girl, from To Kill a Mockingbird. Then a little Siamese mix came along and I had my Jem.

    In the Puget Sound the Edmonds-Kingston ferry is the route to the Hoh Rainforest and the coastal beaches. I won’t bore you with the details, but “Kingston” totally sent me down a memory hole!
