The best part is that on a clear day from Everest’s summit, a good telescope allows you to see the Pyramids of Giza, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate Bridge simultaneously!

And don’t forget the 4th boat lost in Columbus’s voyage of discovery. It was the one who got too close to the edge!

My favorite parachute story was Jack Lucas, who survived both chutes not opening on his first jump. Two weeks later he was jumping out of a plane for his second jump. He was also afraid of heights…

He survived jumping on grenades (got a Congressional Medal of Honor), survived jumping out of a plane without either chute opening, survived a wife hiring a hitman to kill him, but cancer was the final enemy that he couldn’t overcome.https://www.military.com/marine-corps-birthday/badass-of-the-week-jacklyn-h-lucas.html

Saw something this sometime back. Fun similar to Despair, Inc.’s stuff:

We tend to look back with nostalgia and complain that the world is going down the drain. We forget that, “Nothing’s more responsible for the good old days than a bad memory." (quote by Franklin P. Jones)

However, what do the numbers say? Is the world getting better or worse. Here is a TED Talk on that subject from a few years ago:

Funny, which shows that it is getting harder to tell what is parody and what is real:https://townhall.com/columnists/derekhunter/2019/05/16/peta-is-beyond-parody-n2546372

Actually, the Clinton “surplus” was after a capital gains rate cut occurred, which he opposed, leading to a surge in revenue, which he took credit for.
