I wish you had a home warranty plan. My washing machine died a few weeks ago. My home warranty paid up to $500 for a new one. I found one I liked, Maytag, at Home Depot for $578. Just got the $500 check yesterday. My home warranty company is Home Warranty Inc. All my appliances were in the house when I bought it, so I have no idea how old they are. The owners of the house paid the first year of the home warranty and I have continued to have it. I has gone up a little each year, but it was worth it to me to have it. Right now I pay $52 a month. I think almost 14 years ago, it was $47.
My home phone is part of a bundle with my cable and internet. I can make long distance calls with it. My mom has a home phone and uses her cell phone to make long distance calls with it. It’s cheaper than getting long distance on her home phone.
Where I work, Walmart, the new raises did wipe out my merit raises after 19 years. New hires only make $3 less that me now and I didn’t get a raise. We only get a 2% raise every year.
Are you sure you don’t work at my store in Iowa?? :o) We have stockers that do the same thing; plug, plug, plug. I’ve seen stocking 2 associates take out labels or turn them around to the blank side so they can fill the empty areas. They’re too lazy to top stock it. That’s the worst part of inventory…trying to fix all he mistakes in such a short time. Good luck on your inventory. Hope you don’t have a lot of shrinkage!!
