   Over 20 years ago, my pre-teen daughter reached over the back fence and picked something up. When I found out, I took my daughter to the neighbor and had her identified (and not the kid she was playing with at the time). I had her apologize and return the item and she was punished. Fast forward to last week and I am sitting in a restaurant and the neighbor is a few tables away. She points me out and tells another person how we are thieves that will steal anything not nailed down. Hard to keep my mouth shut.

   I had a State employee who was in 2 different agencies. No one knew where he was or what he was doing. When I started to hold him to task, he took retirement and shredded all his files. I found 1 coffee stained document in the trash that allowed me to continue to run the program he had been in charge of for 8 years. It also showed how he had a sweetheart deal with a subcontractor that I suspect was giving him a kickback (State wouldn’t investigate and buried the case)
