Yay! That fabulous, freelance fortune teller Madame Asgar will soon bring both color and her insights to GoComics. I can’t wait to see what comments accrue once she appears.
I’ve been a fan since Heavenly Nostrils first appeared. I’m happy to say that my local paper [Register Guard – Eugene OR] is one of the papers now carrying the strip. They do compress it a bit to fit. I guess you don’t merit full width like Doonesbury yet.
Riding a motorcycle at night on a twisty road with a man who lives on the razor edge of death without any protection could be a metaphor for being a cartoonist wanting to widen her audience while seeking enough Patreon support to focus on her art. It takes guts to put yourself out there. Am I reading too much into it? @3SOJ: A 3-way with his Mom or Death? Either way Ew!
It is not about who feels “defamed.” It is about the resilience of those who creatively want to steer us toward the Light [many a true word is spoken in jest] who rise anew againstthose who lethally want to drag us back to the Dark. Hammer down the Nails of thought will only bring about the rise of more Nails. For the human species to have gotten to now from where we started, the Nails have always outnumbered the Hammers.
I have loved Carol Lay’s work since her self-published comic days. I have thrilled at her weekly Story Minutes. Her pacing and characterizations are great. I look forward to seeing her classic stories in color. Her images are timeless. Her comments on the human condition are always timely. Enjoy and discuss among yourselves.
Once a week – OK. I look forward to coming Mondays. Very atmospheric coloring scheme. It will be interesting to see how it develops along with the story.
