Juke, it’s the problem with looking backwards on people’s ways with modern metrics. They didn’t perceive sexual orientation the same way back then. Socrates probably had his boys (and I mean boys) before he married a woman and both were expected conduct at the time. Of course, more than one philosopher was convinced marrying a woman was a step down, but that was at least as much due to the rampant belief women were imperfect men.
