In the SoCal desert, we’re getting similar high temps to the midwest heatwave. We call it a mild summer. 105 beats 115, & with single digit humidity, it’s not that bad. I’ll remember you with pity on Halloween, when you’re hip deep in white, wet, fluffy. With any luck, this winter, Malibu will wash out to sea, which means the rest of SoCal got a little rain.
Reminds me of the old joke where the guy new to Hell is shown three rooms—one with manure up to the neck, one with manure up to the waist, and one with manure up to the knees. Of course the fellow chooses the third room—and when he gets in, the announcement comes, “Coffee break’s over! Everybody back to standing on your heads!”
