My client was both hurt and embarrassed when you gave him a 'B'... He thought he deserved a 'B+' at the very least And don't forget pain & suffering from homework
Your story reminds me of the ethics professor who had a student who maintained that there were no absolute standards of conduct, that all morals were relative, chosen by the individual. The professor responded that was good, that now he didn’t need to read that student’s papers or tests; he could just flunk him, since there was nothing to say otherwise.THe student was flustered and started to respond, “You can’t do that—it’s unethical!”The prof smiled, and said, “OK, now let’s discuss the question.”
@Sorkh Razil – no matter how many times I hear that, it always brings a smile to my face. My baby sister went off to college as a relative conservative and because a staunch liberal. She “insists” that she came to it on her own conclusions and that it had nothing to do with it being lived and breathed in the college environment. She came up with her own conclusions, which were just like the ones being taught. :-) Yeah, she sure can think for herself. I don’t care that she’s a liberal, but the part that bugs me the most is that she just can’t see where it came from. I know where all my beliefs came from and why I feel as I do…I’d love for her to be able to understand herself, to know why she feels the way she does, but alas, you’ll never meet a more closed-minded person than an open-minded liberal.

This is so wrong, but I wouldn’t doubt that some kid would actually try this some day soon.

My wife is a college professor, and has actually had students say things to her like “I don’t get C’s!” Thank you No Child Left Behind!

College professors have been sued for giving a B instead of an A.
