Men don’t ask for directions so I guess he has already gone too far. We don’t need to ask as we have a wife who is happy to tell us where to go and probably give us the shortest route to get there.

ex Doc White: I actually got directions like that: “turn left where the junior high school burned down.” I expected to see a charred shell, but it had been removed, leaving only the slab foundation behind a WPA built municipal auditorium.

Heck, I give directions like that (where x usd to be) on purpose, but include enough information that they can reach their destination.More like the voice of too much experience.
