how about “Feet Destroyers”

I thought the Flip Flop Company was a political company. lol

They were called thongs when they first came out and were very nicely made (leather and such), once they changed to that mass-produced inferior material [broken and abandoned shoes all over the place] the name changed to flip-flops. I never liked wearing anything between my toes and have always worn sandals..This was well before the bathing suit became commonly known as a thong.

All Summer Long is a song by the Beach Boys in which they describe proper summer attire: “T-shirt, cut-offs and a pair of thongs.”
