My late husband had one that he got in a divorce from his first wife. When he died last year, I sent the death certificate to the timeshare people. I was monitoring his email for a while and I saw an email from them wanting $150 to “Remove the Deceased name only” or $400 to “Remove the Deceased name and add someone to the title/transfer to a family member/or request any other type of Name Change.” He was the only name on the deed. I never responded. They are vultures.
They made changes to our agreement which gave us an automatic out if we rejected the changes. Ten years later they called and tried to convince me that the agreement I had not paid for in ten years was still valid and if I just paid for 2 years fees, they would forgive the other 8. I just hung up the phone.

Even at the very apex of my stupidity I was never stupid enough to purchase a timeshare.
