and a real big spender to boot.

btw to Messers. Wise and Aldrich, do women ever say and or do anything stupid in your world? Y’see, that would make “Real Life Adventures” um, real….. sort of. All this male bashing is getting old.

The thing is, men in general DON’T MIND being portrayed as doofuses. No harm, no foul. Complaining about this sort of thing makes you sound like one of those Promise-Keeper morons who say “the Bible says my wife should OBEY me! RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!”

To coin a phrase, be a man. Suck it up.

I have another take on the strip. Perhaps the authors loathe females. Most of the criticisms of others come from the women.

It’s two guys who write this–so it could be real life reflected, or just a pattern they’ve fallen into–I found it funnier before all the negative commentary here.

If the offense is distributed evenly between the genders, you might say that the women are overly exacting, while the men have no standards whatsoever.

All generalizations are flawed, of course, but these are not totally out of line with, say, the way the genders see each other.

And men are often shown being critical of other men in this strip, but it’s usually in a workplace situation.

Love the waiter’s line. Imagine he’s a bit effeminate and it’s even funnier.
