Trust me, I’ve NEVER had that urge. Never did like cell phones, either.

You heard the man, Scotty. Beat him up.

    Well, that’s what I heard.

When he said “Beam me, Scotty,” I thought he was talking about Jim Beam.

Think of how many tools they used on Star Trek we are using today. Maybe Gene Roddenbury was like Nostradamus and could see into the future??

To do so would not be logical, since he is merely in an elevator with a cell phone that doesn’t have the range to reach the enterprise in orbit around his planet.

    …..besides, Scotty’s dead

nighthawks, you said have said at the end, “besides, he’s dead, Jim” ;-)

I do agree with Wise and Aldrich here, though. ;-)

totalloser, it’s because the kind of people who create the new technology have been Star Trek fans since 1966.

The_JAM, a lot of us don’t like cell phones, but that’s aside the point. If you’ve never pretended like this, you have a heart of Spam.

nighthawks, humans are not logical; get over it.

To tedcoop That would explain the resemblance between the PADD’s used on the later series and the new Apple iPad.

As a Star WARS fan, no, I’ve never had that urge.
