Expensive grils have cast iron grates, they burn your food better.

My last grill lasted 24 years. Cried because I couldn’t get parts or jerry rig pieces anymore.

Yukoneric, you should look into the Char-Griller brand; I’ve had their Duo for a little over two years (I know, not long at all) and it’s excellent.
