    Our prices in Alberta are higher than most US prices, but lower than the rest of Canada, and our have come down too. This was odd, since they usually go up on the May long weekend (Victoria Day). The reality is however, with declining reserves, prices should be double what they are.

    Conventional oil and gas reserves in North America are very rapidly being depleted, Alberta and Texas still have a few, but note where most of the new production is from. The oil sands and off shore, high risk and cost in both cases. Fracking (no I am not swearing) of the shale produces large amounts of natural gas but places US fresh water reserves at risk.
