Man: This is soy milk? Woman: Yep. We're having it from now on. It's good for us and good for the cows. Man: What if I don't think it's good? Woman: If you know what's good for you, you'll think it's good, I think.
Soy is overly-hyped. If you have ANY thyroid issues, you’d best avoid soy in any form including tofu and soy sauce (sadly, the includes teriyaki (sp) and a ton of other Asian dishes).
gmartin997: Those who complain that milking is cruel (listening PETA?) should hear a cow that hasn’t been milked. Few sounds are more piteous. She is really in pain.
Jack Bell: To a slightly lesser degree, that is true of beef breeds too. The true longhorn, with its half millennium of feral genetics, is probably the only one that could survive in sustainable numbers. Even the zebu (Braman, Bos indicus) has survived because of interaction with humans.

True, if you force wean the calf early. Let the cow wean the calf and it doesn’t have to be milked.

It is better for the cows generally, in that fewer of them are subject to the abuse of big agra. And hey. It’s a comic strip.

If you don’t milk cows, it becomes extremely painful for them. That is, unless, they constantly have calves.
