It’s called funneling all our money into the pockets of the very rich and then living off the handouts of the very rich for the rest of their lives.

I don’t hold it against a company that lobbies in order to reduce the damage that government does to them. On the other hand, I blame any company that lobbies for government to harm their competition. But mostly I condemn a regulatory environment where the latest session of Congress or the newest round of edicts from the alphabet agencies have life-and-death control over entire industries.

Hit it on the head! They also hire the company workers to make laws or work for controlling agencies: Monsanto comes to mind.

Bravo, pschearer. If one wishes to prove the worthlessness of regulatory agencies, abolish the fine. Let them put all wrongdoers in jail after a trial by jury. The fines are merely extortion by the controlling mafia.

The cartoon says congress “guys” because in the most recent congress there were only 102 women. And because many of the women are not sunk into the total corruption embraced by the majority – Senator Elizabeth Warren comes to mind.

We should have elected Willard the ChickenHawk. He would have gotten that offshore corporate money into offshore private accounts where it belongs.
And, Congress is serving the ‘people’ just fine — if your name happens to be Koch, Adelson, or someone like that.
