OK, you take the area of the large rectangle and subtract the area of the two triangles…then again, you could take the area of the small rectangle and add the area of the two triangles…or you could add the longer and shorter sides and divide by two, then multiply them by the height…, “But Dad, Common Core says….”

They’re right next to the magnetic nail pullers…
