I had a boss once who claimed she didn’t need to know what we did. Previously she worked for an airline, so I can believe that.

It’s hard to work for a Boss that hasn’t a Clue about your Job, of course working for One that Knows your job is worse!
It is an effective boss who surrounds himself (or herself) with very good, competent people; then allows them to do their job…
