Woman: Time to scrape this old wallpaper off and paint. Man: Can't we hire it done? Woman: Too expensive. We can do this ourselves . Man: I think you're overestimating the price of hiring a pro, and underestimating the price we'll pay if we do this together.

hiring a pro will be a lot cheaper than therapy and a divorce

Don’t worry… By ’’we’’, she means ’’you’’ will do it. There’s no ’’together’’

I passed a house on the way to my brothers, older house and lights were on so I could see in. Drywall stacked on floor, none on walls. I asked my brother if he knew why. He said they steamed off the wallpaper and wound up steaming off the drywall at the same time. Whoopsie!

As Judge Milian says from The People’s Court: “The cheap comes out expensive”.

“Can’t we hire it done?” Is this some form of English grammar of which I’m unaware?

I used to do wallpapering many years ago…a couple hired me to finish a project they had already started, and when the wife was not around, the hubby told me they had gotten so angry at each other when they were working on it, they literally started talking (screaming?) divorce…yep, another marriage saved!

Isn’t that what “Division. Of Labor” is all about. He should stick with what he does well and let an expert do the wall paper..
